How long does a Japanese hair straightening treatment last?
A properly executed Japanese thermal straightening holds its pin-straight result for 4 to 6 months, depending on hair type, density, growth rate, and how the hair is styled between washes. Thick, wavy, or curly hair often holds the straight result on the longer end of that range. The straightening grows out gradually, with no harsh regrowth line as with older lye relaxers, so the transition from straightened hair to new growth is soft and natural-looking.
Do I have to be Asian to get a Korean perm or Japanese straightening?
